I will be writing a detail self-guided walking guide for Belgrade soon, but before that here are some of the best places to visit in Belgrade I would recommend.

 

 

Belgrade Republic Square

The first of the 12 best places to visit in Belgrade is non other than the Republic Square, the Horse statue is the most prominent meeting point among the tourists and also the locals.

 

 

Kalemagdan Park

Kalemagdan Park

 

A great spot for family outing, there are playgrounds cater for kids and also many souvenir carts.

 

Belgrade Military Museum

You can also see the Military Museum situated at the end of the park.

 

 

Belgrade Fortress

This is the best place to visit for photo shooting, ever photo that I took can literally be turned into a mobile travel art photo.

Victor Monument

At the end of the fortress you will see the Victor Monument facing in the direction of New Belgrade.

 

 

Belgrade Bohemian Quarter

Also known as Skadarlija, filled with the spirit of old Belgrade and cafes with live bands playing old Belgrade folk song. It is also one of the best places to visit in Belgrade.

You will see beautiful architectures and buildings while walking along Terazije, a great place to collect some nice Belgrade mobile travel photos.

Around this area are eateries, cafés, pubs and also 2 big local supermarkets.

 

 

Tasmajdan Park

A very busy and beautiful park situated in the middle of the city center, there is also St. Marks Church there. A must place to visit in Belgrade.

Have a view of what the war left behind. I strongly recommend it.

 

 

Central Railway Station

Trains coming and going to Budapest only cost $15EUR. The bus station is right next to it.

 

 

Saint Sava Church

This is probably the most famous place to visit in Belgrade although the interiors are still in progress.

 

 

Zeleni Venac Market

This is a must visit if you are on a food budget. Buses going to Zemun and the airport leave from here too.

 

 

Brankov Bridge, Sava River

My favorite place to snap pictures for my Belgrade mobile travel photo collections. It is especially beautiful during sunset.

After the bridge you will step into New Belgrade, there is a big shopping center just few meters from the Brankov bridge.

I volunteered there for 3 weeks and it's a great hostel with prices starting $6EUR. Staffs are friendly, beds are comfortable, toilets are clean and it’s lively too.

For vegetarian I would recommend spring onion and mushroom omelet (I eat it 3 times a week), else you can try their smoke sausage omelet or salmon spread toast. Ask for cookies as your dessert.

Gorgeous pictures. Nobody can say they are from a mobile phone until you tell them.
